Our co-founders, Jenn Vaughn and Andrew McDaniel, are leaders in this field who have been published in the peer-reviewed Journal of Education Advancement & Marketing, have presented at the American Marketing Association, CASE (The Council for Advancement and Support of Education), and NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) conferences, and teach classes and workshops for staff, faculty and students at the University of California, Davis.

Andrew McDaniel is an award-winning marketing and communications leader. He has worked in journalism, marketing, public relations and communications, where he produced 23 nationally-syndicated radio documentaries and developed advertising copy for international companies.

Currently, Andrew is the co-founder of Future Focus as well as the associate director for Student Affairs Marketing and Communications at UC Davis. He has a BA in Communications from Flagler College and certificates in Journalism and Management from Georgetown University and UC Davis.


Jenn Vaughn’s career spans two coasts over 20 years via boutique design agencies, tech startups and education non-profits. Currently, she is the co-founder of Future Focus and Creative Director at UC Davis. 

Jenn has won numerous marketing and higher education awards, including CASE District VII Circle of Excellence’s highest honor, Grand Gold. In addition, she is a frequent speaker on industry-related topics such as Design & Accessibility and Building Memorable Brands. A first-generation college student, Jenn earned a BA in public communication from American University.
